TMZ is reporting that rapper T.I. and his wife Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle were arrested last night and booked for the alleged possession of a controlled substance.

L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over T.I. and Tiny in a Maybach on Sunset Boulevard around 10:30PM. Deputies say they smelled marijuana, and after searching the vehicle both were arrested.

“Deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle,” the department said. “A narcotics investigation ensued” that resulted in the arrests.

The couple recently got married on July 30 in Miami, and T.I. is currently on probation after doing 7 months in prison for weapons charges. At the time of my posting T.I. and Tiny are both in custody, and their bail is set at $10,000.

*UPDATE* T.I. and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle were arrested because cops claim they found what appeared to be ecstasy in their car.
