Melanie Fiona and J. Cole attended Grey Goose Ent & BET’s “Rising Icons” Series, last night in NYC.
Rising Icons is a TV series recognizing eight of the most influential artists in the music industry. Premiering this August on BET and Centric Networks, each episode takes viewers behind the scenes with modern day pop stars, musical revolutionaries, sexy soulful singers and emerging hip hop artists.
Foxy Brown was spotted making her way into Brooklyn Criminal Court in NYC on Tuesday (July 27).
Foxy Brown‘s manager has denied that she was dropped by her lawyer just before a court appearance on Tuesday – insisting that she decided to go with a more “high powered” attorney.
Foxy was arrested in Brooklyn last week following a reported confrontation with a neighbor, who claimed Brown cursed at her and bared her bottom in a heated dispute.
Brown was charged with public lewdness, harassment and criminal contempt. She pleaded not guilty when she was arraigned in Brooklyn Supreme Court last Thursday.

Tamera Mowry is engaged to Fox News correspondent Adam Housley.
“Adam proposed to Tamera last week in Italy,” a source close to the couple tells E! News. And Housley knows all about getting down on one knee for his ladylove.
“They were engaged a few years ago, but broke it off,” the insider says. “They have been dating on and off for the past year and now he has put a ring on her finger once again.”
But Mowry, who starred alongside identical twin Tia on Sister, Sister, may have to convince her family that Housley is good husband material.
“Her family is not crazy about him,” the source says. “Tia and Adam don’t always get along, but the couple are happy together and giving it another try.”
The couple are currently living apart but will soon move in together. As for the wedding? “They haven’t started planning the wedding,” our insider says, “but it will most likely be at his family’s vineyard in Napa.”
