THE 2010 SOUL TRAIN AWARDS NOMINEES

Alicia Keys, Usher, and Drake lead the list of nominees for the 2010 Soul Train Awards, it was announced on Monday (October 18).

New mother Keys and Usher are tied for the most nods with four apiece; Keys is up for Best R&B/Soul Artist Female, Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Record of the Year, while Usher is up for Best R&B/Soul Artist Male, Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Dance Performance.

Lil Wayne Welcome Home Party

Everyone was in a mood to celebrate on Sunday night at the King of Diamonds strip club in Miami. And while the party was ostensibly to welcome back Lil Wayne after an eight-month stint in prison on a gun charge, for the revelers it felt more like an awards-show red carpet.

Among the attendees were Wayne’s mother and Lauren London (the mother of one of his children), as well as Nicki Minaj, Drake, Busta Rhymes, Streetrunner, Bow Wow, Jay Sean, Cool & Dre, Young Chris, Rico Love, Dow Jones, Waka Flocka Flame and Young Money members Lil Chuckee, Gudda Gudda, Jae Millz and Short Dawg.

Lil Wayne To Celebrate Prison Release With Miami Bash

Lil Wayne already has 48 bottles of really expensive champagne — PAID FOR and ready to go — when he arrives for his prison release party at a Miami strip club this weekend.

It’s all going down at a joint called King of Diamonds – a 50,000 square foot mega strip club that’s equipped with a shoe shine station, massage parlor, basketball court and “fine dining.”
